Personalized Nutrition Research: Examining the Impact of Tailored Strategies on Nutritional Status, Health, and Well-being
Research activities are focused on the study of the relationship between lifestyle, health status and perceived well-being. In this context, different healthy dietary approaches are tested in order to investigate their impact on individual’s nutritional status. Personalized dietary strategies have become a focal point in nutritional research, aiming to tailor nutrition plans to individual needs. The research aims to investigate how personalized approaches impact nutritional status, encompassing macro- and micro-nutrient levels, body composition, and overall health in different settings (physiological, clinical, sports). Findings contribute to the understanding of the relationship between personalized nutrition and individual well-being, offering insights into effective strategies for improving nutritional outcomes and promoting overall health. This approach encompasses not only comprehensive coverage of nutritional requirements but also consideration of broader health implications, with also the goal to design innovative food solutions tailored to specific nutritional needs. Considering the importance of food knowledge, healthy diet and personalized diets, new communicative strategies are utilized to improve awareness of consumers about healthy diet and local products’ characteristics and their beneficial impact on health status. This research activity is in line with the objectives of the PNRR project VITALITY in which the research group is involved.
